Monasteries are the core of Buddhist life and community. They are spiritual centers of peace, inspiration, and prayer that offer an opportunity for study and contemplation. A stable monastic tradition is a vibrant source for the continuation of the teachings.

The establishment of Pal Sakya Boudha created a basis on which the conservation and dissemination of Tibetan Buddhism can be achieved in the long term. For many people in Setianchal, Doti District the monastery is the basis of their livelihood. They find employment through the monastery, seek medical help and receive education as well as religious inspiration at Pal Sakya Boudha Monastery.
